Erik Andersson, DDS

Dentist

Dr. Andersson is from Washington State. He obtained a biology and Spanish degree from Pacific Lutheran University and his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at the esteemed Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California.

Following graduation, he spent the next four years associating in the Seattle, Washington area. Looking for a more rural community in which to raise their young family, the  Anderssons moved to Hohenwald, Tennessee in late 2010.

Dr. Andersson studies the newest and best modalities of care and treatment for his patients in restoring teeth, oral surgery, implants, crown/bridge, and pediatric care. "I really enjoy dentistry and strive to give my patients straightforward answers and solutions to their dental needs."

When Dr. Andersson is not practicing his passion in dentistry, he is dedicated to spending time with his four beautiful children, Valentina, Giovanna, Carmela, and Manuel.

Rusty Abernathy, DDS

Dentist

Dr. Abernathy was born and raised in Pulaski, Tn. He received his Undergraduate education at Middle Tennessee State University in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis, TN

Dr. Abernathy has been trained and practiced in all facets of General Dentistry including,

Oral Surgery, Implants, Restorative Dentistry, Laser Dentistry, Periodontal Surgery, and Orthodontics.

When time allows, He enjoys fishing, flying, and building projects. Dr. Abernathy has two children, Andy Abernathy and Libby Cross. With 5 Grandchildren , Cooper Abernathy, Brooks Abernathy, Hayes Abernathy, Chandler Cross and Peyton Cross.

Jessica Whitten, RDA

Scheduling Coordinator

Jessica is a Lawrenceburg native but married and moved to Wayne County.  She attended Tennessee Technology Center and received her Dental Assistant license in 2007 and has been in the dental field ever since!  She loves putting a smile on everyone's face and taking care of those in need.  In her free time, Jessica loves spending time with her family, traveling, UT football, and serving at the Oak Grove Baptist Church. 

Kristin Bryson, RDA

Scheduling Coordinator

Kristin graduated from Collinwood high school in 2006, then completed the dental assistant program in 2008. She worked her way into management 5 years ago and strive every day to learn more. She has 3 beautiful children and a loving husband, Jimmy. Kristin enjoys sports, outdoors, and also being active her church.

Victoria Stricklin, RDH

Accounts Manager

Victoria is originally from Somerville, but moved to Waynesboro with her husband and daughter in 2005. She is passionate about dental hygiene and loves giving people not only the confidence to smile but also help in maintaining that healthy, happy smile. In her free time, Victoria loves fishing, boating on the river, hunting, and camping.

Caitlin Dotson, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Caitlin attended Northeast Mississippi Community College where she obtained an associate degree in dental Hygiene in 2011.  Caitlin's favorite part of her job is providing patients with the experience of good dental care and the feeling of a great smile!  She loves getting to know her patients and building long-term relationships.  She was born and raised in Collinwood, TN, and still resides there with her husband, Anthony, and two daughters, Aven and Briar Ann.

Chelsea Smith, RDA

Dental Assistant

Chelsea completed her dental assisting certification in 2009 and has been in the dental field working as an assistant ever since.  She genuinely enjoys helping people with their dental needs and giving them their best smile possible.  In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, especially her children, Abby and Brecken.  She is a sports enthusiast, loves being outside, and active in her church.
 

Ashley Ray, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Ashley graduated from Collinwood high school in 2014. She then attended Northeast Mississippi Community College where she earned a degree in dental hygiene in 2018. Ashley is very enthusiastic about dental health and enjoys educating patients about their dental health as well as preventive techniques. She is happily married with three beautiful little girls and is a member of Green River Baptist Church. Ashley enjoys cycling classes, running, and making memories with my family.

Ceria Cunningham, RDH

Expanded Function Dental Hygienist

Ceria was born and raised in Savannah, TN. Since entering dentistry with dental hygiene degree from NEMCC in 2012, she went on to obtain her restorative expanded functions training at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in 2020 and returned to NEMCC to obtain a degree as an RN in 2023. Ceria loves to learn and grow as a provider, and has had the privilege to care for patients in a variety of dental and medical settings. Helping patients gain confidence in their smiles while improving their dental and overall health is what she loves most about my role here at Wellness Family Dentistry. In her time outside the office, Ceria loves to spend time with her family and travel to new places.

Rhonda Wix, RDH

Expanded Functions Dental Hygienist

Rhonda Wix is a small town girl from Hohenwald, TN who fell in love with dentistry.  She has developed her skills in dentistry from a sterilization tech to an expanded function dental hygienist.  Since earning a dental hygiene degree at North East in Booneville, MS she has continued to add credentials and certificates to her skill set.  These include local anesthetic administration, restorative expanded function, and prosthetic expanded function.  She is determined to help her patients by ongoing dental continuing education.  Rhonda takes pride in being part of an exceptional team of dental professionals devoted to dental disease prevention and improvement of dental health in the community.  When Rhonda is not brushing teeth she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and son.
